Agnel Minervois

This wine offers a huge aromatic range of little black fruits, blackberries and blueberries, with hints of grilled almond and vanilla notes. The palate is pleasant combining elegance and strength.

80% Syrah –10% Grenache and 10% Carignan.

Standing on a plain at the foot of the Montagne Noire, this 17th century chateau is still run by the Agnel family. The Syrah and Grenache vines, whose grapes produce these very fine wines, face directly south on argilo-calcareous soils. Philippe Agnel proposes very elegant, remarkably constructed wines, each vintage produced from very rigorously selected plots. Moreover, the motto of this enthusiastic owner is “Do everything to achieve a great Minervois wine”.
