Condesa de Sarabella Viura 2010
Viura
Pale straw yellow colour and with strong, fruity aromas of banana and citrus, the Condesa de Sarabella Viura is a fine example of old vine Viura, displaying intensity of crisp, ripe fruit with smoothness and balance.
A perfect foil for rice dishes, fish or shellfish, or for enjoying on it's own on a warm day.
Condesa de Sarabella is located near Villarroya de la Sierra, a little village with a rich history and large tradition in cultivating vineyards, in the centre of D.O. Calatayud.
The winery has invested recently in new stainless steel tanks, new presses and a new bottling line to ensure the intense fruit and terroir of the vineyards is captured in all their wines.
80% of the vines are more than 50 years old, with some over 100 years old, and are located between 650 and 850 metres on the hills around Calatayud. All vines are worked by hand during the warm, dry summers and hand-picked at the start of the cooling autumn.
