Tasting Notes
Rich and layered Saint-Émilion consisting of 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc. Vines are an average 50 years old and the wine is aged for at least 12 months in a proportion of 50% oak barrels to 50% old concrete tanks. Blending is carried out prior to bottling according to the vintage characteristics.
Dark garnet in colour with aromas of red and black hedgerow fruits and earthy notes of forest floor, coffee and aromatic spices, this is a wine of great character, rich in fruit yet elegant, and layered with savoury elements, silky tannins and minerality. The 2019 is drinking well now but will cellar for 10+ years.
Spectacular with beef or venison.
